Andy is a Police Dog!!!!

Hey everyone! I havent written the whole trip so this is going to be long. The first 2 night in Haiti we stayed in the guesthouse at Port Au Prince. I was shocked at how nice it was. We even had a pool. In Port Au Prince we went on a tour. We saw the White House, and all sorts of other Haitian things. The next morning we woke up early to get on our little plane to Jeremie. Luckily, I made it through the flight without getting sick. It was not as bad as I expected and the view was beautiful. Once we arrived in Jeremie we checked out the guesthouse and then went to the work site. Instantly we were swarmed with kids wanting to be around us. We played games with them and taught them songs. There was a little baby girl, I never found out her name, who I ended up holding for a few hours. Her mom kept trying to tell me something but I had no clue what she was saying. Soon enough Mrs. Janise and I fond out that she had ringworm. This scared me at first but I just kept on holding her...and for thoose of you wondering I am fine, and so is everyone else who held her. The next day I went to the orphanage for VBS. God worked so much at the orphanage. The first second we opened the door all the kids were running at us and hugging us. They were so precious. They all had huge smiles on their faces. It was obvious that they wanted us around. To start off we all introduced ourselves. Then they sang to us. It brought me, and a few other people to tears. We taught them about Moses, Pharoh, and Jesus. We played games, ainted canvas, and did other crafts. We sang songs, and they caught on well, motions and words. My favorite part was when we were leaving. I got the privlage to help each girl pick out a new pair of shoes that we had brought. Their smile lit up and I was given a hug by everyone of them. The next day was our free day. It was fun until like Patrick and I got sick. We think it was a combination of dehydration and motion sickness, but it was awful. Being sick in 100 degree weather is no fun, but with the help of Kristina, Mrs. Ellen, and Mrs.Janise I recovered. Patrick and I called each other sick buddies. By the next afternoon I was feeling much better and got to help at the orphanage the secong half of the day.
God has worked so much in the little time we have been in Haiti. He has blessed us with an amazing house to stay. He has brought us closer as a group. This trip has really made me realized how blessed we are in America. Its not everyday you get to wake up to cleanwater and fod. God is doing amazing things in Haiti. I miss and love y'all!

  3. CHANDLER CROCKER!!!! You have know idea how happy I am to hear from you!!! I talked to Chelsea today and she said you and Patrick were sick. And that paired with the fact that there had been no update since Sunday made me sooo worried!! I am soo relieved that the two of you are okay. It also makes me so happy that you are witnessing to these children and that they are so enthusiastic about hearing the bible stories you are sharing with them. You have no idea how much you are missed!! All of us back in Lexington can't wait to see you and i am counting down the minutes until I can see your beautiful face again. Please hydrate yourself everytime you get a chance and please keep my voice in the back of your head saying "Chandler. Please don't get yourself killed down there." I hope that you will continue to let God use you in so many awesome ways down there and I love you so much and I have every intention of giving you an enormous hug when you get home! Have fun for the next three days and I can't wait to hear the rest of the stories.
