Friday August 7th
Today was a great experience for me in the Haiti Airport. This morning we woke up pretty early, around 5 and rode in vans to the private airport. The majority of our group waited for about an hour and a half for our plane. It was about 30 minutes before we were to board that we found out that 4 people weren't going to be able to go with the rest of the group. I naturally volunteered thinking nothing of it and stayed behind waving the rest of the group on. 4 bags of crackers, about 3 hours of powernapping for total of 6 hours later our plane finally arrived and we were on our way to jeremy. The flight was breathtaking but very short and our landing was a little rough. Because I arrived late I missed the first day of work on the site but briefly met some of the kids that hung around the site and I am really excited to start work tomorrow....
